White Point Beach Resort Lodge and Monarch Waystation
I decided to take a walking tour of White Point Beach Resort during my first afternoon there. The tour began at the beautiful and luxurious White Point Beach Lodge. It was a beautiful day and the parking lot was full of vehicles. I stayed outside to avoid the crowd inside, and took a walk over to the Monarch Waystation. Apparently the Monarch gardens have a large amount of Milkweed which attract Monarch Butterflies!
Bunnies and the Beach
If you’ve ever been to White Point Beach Resort, you’ll know your chances are very good of seeing a bunny even when you’re not looking for them. The resort is also known for it’s white sandy beach and sparkling blue water. On a nice afternoon you’ll see many guests camped out on the beach relaxing, or watching surfers try their luck at catching waves.
Pickleball and Old Tennis Court Garden
Next up was a trip to the Pickleball court for a quick match with the family. The courts are new within the last few years and are of good quality, so I thought I’d feature them in a clip. Shortly after, I moved on to the old tennis court where they have set up a large veggie garden. I guess the Chefs at White Point use the greens from the garden to serve to the guests.
Fun in the Playground, Boathouse, and Dock!
There’s a large playground with swings and slides for the younger guests (and occasionally older) to fill their boots with. Next to the playground is the boathouse where many boards and boats can be rented out for part of the day. They have a nice dock, and if you’re feeling adventurous you can jump in the lake. Apparently the water is very warm!
Trails and Bridge
If you take a walk along any of the trails at White Point Beach Resort you’ll definitely notice signs to watch out for poison ivy along the way. For that reason, it’s probably best not to steer off the beaten path! The Nature Trail leads to the bridge linking the Resort to White Point Estates. The bridge provides another scenic view of the waterfront you won’t want to miss.
Accommodations - Treehouses and Glomes
There are options for any size family when it comes to accommodations offered at the resort. However, two of the more unique possibilities you may come across on your travels are the Treehouses and Lakeside Glomes. If you are looking for an out-of-the-ordinary experience these options might very well be worth checking out!
A Resort Worth Visiting
My walking tour of White Point Beach Resort came to an end. If you’re looking for other things to do while in the area there are a number of nice beaches and restaurants nearby. Feel free to browse Peaceful Toney River Paddle if you’re looking for another post related to scenery. Thank you for reading my post.
